A brand new Jamie Langton Production from Kelnat Productions Ltd
This year (2004) sees the 80th birthday celebration of the MG Marque and motoring enthusiasts are in for a real treat as this DVD, (approx. 70 minutes long), helps celebrate this milestone. It covers the story of the MG marque, mainly through the eyes of the enthusiasts themselves, from early vintage models up to the current new MG Saloons. It’s the third release of the Legend series of videos based on affordable classics, the first two were released in the nineties, Capri-The Legend and Mini –The Legend which are also due to be brought up to date and re-released on DVD. Together with some brand new titles this will make a perfect collection for any car enthusiast.
The programme is Produced and Directed by former Top Gear Director and TV Producer/Motoring journalist Jamie Langton and features some unusual cars. One owner shows us his 1980 built MGBGT that’s never been on the road, with just 58 miles on the clock the car has not even been registered and looks as though it’s fresh from the factory. Also featured is some exclusive production line footage of the early nineties classic MGRV8 being built which is brought up to date with footage of the current saloons rolling off the production line.
Exclusive interviews include Don Hayter, chief body draughtsman for the MGB and we also get to see his one off MGB V8 Roadster built specially for him by British Leyland at the end of MGB’s production. There’s also an interview with David Bishop, Managing Director of British Motor Heritage Ltd who tells us how he saved the tooling of the MGB from being scrapped, and how, thanks to him and his team, the MG RV8 came about. Also included are interviews with MG owners from the Classic Car Club of Orlando, Florida, in the USA.
Please note this DVD is regionless PAL format. If you are from a country that does not have PAL format as standard please refer to manufacturers instruction manual as to whether your DVD machine can play PAL. Many modern machines can.
